Rating 3.3/5 (155 votes - Click on the stars above to rate this article) Divide the children into two groups. Direct the two groups to different areas of the classroom or playground.
Give each child a small piece of paper and get them to write down a number between 1 and 100.
Once they have done this have each of the groups, without talking, line themselves up in ascending order according to their number. The winners are the group who manage to line-up correctly first.
Children with the same number can either stand next to each other or one behind the other.
You may want to change the range of the numbers for younger children (i.e. a number from 1 to 10) and older children (i.e. a number from 1 to 1000).
